Here are just a few of our events; Our Annual Santa comes to Dana Hills event along with our Annual Pet Photo Day to benefit Promise 4 Paws are our two favorites.
In 2015, Leilani accomplished her goal of installing monument signage for her home community of Sea Canyon. Leilani and fellow “Friends of Sea Canyon”, including resident Kent Welton, who spearheaded the initiative, and local businesses donated their time and money to gift the monument sign. The 450-home Sea Canyon community near Dana Hills High School in Dana Point, which was built as three separate developments starting in the early-1970’s, has not had a formal name or monument sign until signage was installed January 7th of 2015.
Although the sign installation took less than two hours, the process of working with the City to acquire permits, rallying community support, and raising funds for the sign installation took almost two years. Leilani helped organize an initiative to distribute fliers to all homes in the neighborhood, prompting residents to email the City directly, got the permit approved, raised funds and even donated to the project.
“I care about this neighborhood and want it to be represented to its residents and visitors the best way possible. Having a name to rally around and a sign to formalize that identity is truly exciting and something that I am proud to be a part of.”- Leilani
